Nikki and James' wedding at Moxhull Hall
posted by: Karrie on 1 June 2008
We were back again at Moxhull Hall on Saturday but as always the whole wedding was so different.

This week it was a church wedding at St Peter’s Maney Hill Road in Sutton Coldfield - a difficult job because the vicar doesn’t allow a front camera, but we managed to get 2 reasonable camera angles and some great footage of the vows. Luckily we have good radio microphones so the vows will sound crisp and clear.
The photographers were Glen Shelley and Gaynor, so as usual Glen got all the guests laughing and Gaynor arranged Nikki’s dress and veil to perfection.
The white and silver colour scheme was subtle and elegant, and Nikki’s dress was gorgeous, with beautifully detailed bodice and veil, while lovely bridesmaids Lucy, Abbie and Isabelle wore silver and white gowns. James and attendants looked great too, so I wasn’t surprised to see the marquee looked beautiful - it’s amazing how the Moxhull Hall marquee is a blank canvas that works so well with every colour scheme. Elegant flowers by Claretys, lovely stationery made by the Bride and gorgous cake by Cakes by Rose all created a stunning decor.
Drinks and canapés were served on the patio, while James’ cousin Lewis Codling sang. He’s just signed a recording contract, but remember that you heard about him here first! (I’m not alone in rating him - I heard guests asking for his autograph before he’s famous.)
The toastmaster Barry Balmayne, we haven’t worked with before, but we hope to see him again. Everything ran like clockwork and he was great at alerting us to what was coming next. Loved his short comedy act after the speeches too - good fun! Speeches by Andy, Gareth and James went down really well, but with lots of heckling from the Liverpool crowd! Evening entertainment continued with a live act Quest after Nikki and James cool First Dance routine.
A super couple, lovely families, friendly guests - what a fantastic start to what we’re sure will be a wonderful marriage. Congratulations Mr and Mrs Adamson and see you on the editing decks.
PS. We’ll be posting up their video in the movie theatre and if you leave a message we’ll email you when the video goes online, but there are other Moxhull Hall wedding videos here and on our showreel page here.

Nikki and James, thanks very much for a fantastic day. We had a great time, and we can’t wait for the christening in November. Next time you get married Edna said can she be a bridesmaid, she should be out of re-hab by then. Lots of love and happiness. Brenda and Terry.

Congratulations Nicola and James. The journey from Liverpool from two nonagenarians was well worth it. You both looked absolutely stunning, the venue the way the tent (marquee nowadays) was superbly set out and we are glad we have lasted this long to see it all. Love and best wishes for the future. Hi Nikki and James. It was so wonderful to have the honour to officiate as Toastmaster on your ‘Very Special Day’. Bride, Groom, Bridal Party, and all Guests, were an absolute delight to work with. The response you all so kindly afforded me ensured that everything flowed to perfection throughout the most superb Reception and Wedding Breakfast. My thanks also to Photographer Glen Shelley for so kindly keeping to time, and an absolute sheer delight to have the opportunity to work hand in hand with Karrie and Jon of Electra Films - always there but hardly seen as they captured every precious moment. My sincerest best wishes to you both for a very long and happy life together. Don’t be strangers - keep in touch. Love to your both, Barry xxx

Hi Nikki and James
well its over and all the hard work and tears was certainly worth it. We have nothing but praise and admiration in the way you both looked and presented yourselves. The venue was superb and everyone wants to join Lewis’s fan club, his singing while we sat out on the patio in the sunshine was excellent. Everything went to perfection making it a really memorable occasion. All the best for the future and may you have many years of happiness and good fortune together. Lots of love Mum and Dad W.xx
