Lucky at Lea Marston for Julie and David Lewis

It wasn't brilliant weather yesterday but we managed to dodge the rain at Julie and David's wedding ...

Jon was worried about rain, but somehow I knew it would be OK, and Les and Steven Woodhams of Barry James Photography were equally relieved as the gardens and romantic bridge on the golf course at Lea Marston produced some lovely photos and a beautiful romantic ending film sequence. As usual it was so easy to work together as a team – lovely guys as well as excellent photographers.
I filmed the bridal preparations and Julie, Diana and their mother Ruth were great to work with – we had a few laughs together to chase the nerves away. Julie had done all the lovely hair do’s herself and I loved the fascinators worn by all three ladies.
It was a really pretty wedding with Julie looking regal in a beautiful white chiffon gown with jewel encrusted bodice and stylish bolero style jacket. Her sister Diana Berry also looked lovely in the pink gown and jacket matching Julie’s flowers and David and attendants’ cravats: subtle and elegant.
Music was a major feature of the day, with Eclypse flute and keyboard duo playing during the ceremony and drinks reception and Wayne Duffell on keyboard during the wedding breakfast. The short but heartfelt speeches before the meal allowed David and Best Man Peter Morbey to relax and enjoy the excellent food served by Heidi and her efficient team. We can always relax and know that Heidi will give us plenty of warning to film the cake – thank you!
The First Dance was Rod Stewart’s ‘For the First Time’ and with Phil Edwards’ disco lighting effects we captured some great footage, while the video messages produced loads of laughter! We had fun filming some lovely people.
Congratulations to the new Mr and Mrs Lewis. Have a lovely honeymoon in New York and see you on the editing decks.
Please use the comments form below to leave David and Julie your goodwill messages (or email us) and we’ll email you when their film highlights go online in the movie theatre.

It was a fantastic Wedding Day for Julie and Dave and all members of the family.
We were so proud to see them standing together for the ceremony: the culmination of a loving relationship and the begining of a new life togther as husband and wife.
It was a great day that we will always remember and we look forward to seeing them both when they return from honeymoon in New York.
All our love,
Diana and Phil

Well what a fantastic day firstly despite the weather it didn’t make the day any less special. It’s always lovely to see friends and family that we haven’t seen in a while as you often forget just how mad they really are.
Julie you looked beautiful and Dad you did too - a bit white when it came to the speech there was no need as you had it all under control! It seems all we have to remember the day is photos as we all know it couldn’t last forever unfortunately. Even when it reached 12:00 on the evening we were still ready for more. That said, the day will be one I will not forget in a hurry and I’m sure others won’t either. We wish you all the happiness and love always and hope you have a wonderful time in New York ALL OUR LOVE BECCI & DANNY XXXXXXXXXXXX

Hi Becci and Danny - think you forgot the DVD which will hopefully keep those memories alive. I’ll email you as soon as the highlights are online, but Julie and David will have 7 copies of their DVD, so you should get a chance to see lots of the day again! Karrie

It was great to work with such a genuine and easy going couple. It rained before the photos and it rained after, but kept dry whilst we were working so someone up there must like us a little bit!
Hope we let the day flow for you and got the “groups” completed as quickly as possible to allow your guests to enjoy each others company.
A big thank you to Julie and David for their cooperation and to Heidi from Lea Marston, also Karrie and Jon at Electra who worked with us rather than against us to ensure the day will be remembered for what it should be - a super wedding for two super people.

Dad and Julie, Thanks again for a brilliant day on Saturday. Dad your speech was lovely, you had no need to worry! Julie and Diana looked beautiful, the dresses were really pretty and you looked very handsome in pink (salmon as Rich calls it). Also, the way you decorated the tables was beautiful, we loved all the little details and it just shows how much planning went into it to make it such a special day. Rich said he hopes you like the video message we left you!
Hope you have a very happy life together and have a great time in New York. See you when you get back.
All our love Jo and Rich

It was a wedding day to remember! Julie, you looked stunning, beautiful and elegant: just as a bride should be.As your Dad said “you were a little smasher.” Dave looked so handsome and assured. A truly wonderful couple accompanied by your lovely sister, Diana - ( A vision in pink) - and supported by Pete, Phil and Carol.
The staff of Lea Marston Hotel and especially Heidi made sure that everything went perfectly on the day. A marvellous time was had by everyone and the celebrations would have gone on all night. However, once again the magical hour of midnight arrived to end a fabulous day.
Have a lovely Honeymoon in the “Big Apple”. We are so proud of you both.
All our love
