Regrets for couple with no wedding video!
posted by: Karrie on 11 July 2008
If you don't have your wedding filmed how do you know the story behind the photos? Or what happened next? What will your guests be doing during the photo session?

What happened here? You need a video!
Yes I may be biased, but if I stopped doing this job I love tomorrow I would still advise everyone to have their wedding filmed professionally. We’re always pleased to receive compliments from couples who love their wedding video.
The couple in this YouTube video didn’t have their wedding filmed and you can see regret on their faces in every second of the film made after their wedding ...
After all, how many times do you have everybody you love and care most about all together in their best gear? It may sound morbid, but I would love to show my kids how much fun my grandparents really were - not just on a flat photo. (Seeing myself as a size 10 would be a bonus too!) And no I don’t remember much of the day, although I have a really good memory ... just snapshots lasting seconds in my head out of a whole day.
Don’t be tempted to compare a home video with a professional film (content, picture and especially sound quality do not compare) and true professional videographers will certainly not be ‘in your face’! I’m probably preaching to the converted as you’re on a wedding videography site, but you’ll regret it if you don’t have a video. Watch this Youtube video and believe!
Do you know anyone who regrets not having their wedding filmed? Do you or your partner have any concerns about having your wedding filmed? I’ll do my best to answer each and every question. No pressure - just use the comment form below.

Hi Karrie,
I just wanted to comment on the film clip about the couple who regret not having their wedding filmed.
I actually filled up with tears at their pain, I simply cannot imagine not having our amazing DVD. From the beginning of our planning, it was me that insisted on having the film. Every time we went over budget (which was often!) Paul would pass comment that we could cut back on certain things, the film being one of them. He has admitted now how glad he is that I stuck to my guns on this one! I urge anyone who is in the planning stages of their big day to budget for filming. It is beyond priceless!!!

Janet posted this comment in the recent page announcing her own movie release but I asked her if I could re-post it here because it is such a powerful and heartfelt response.
Thank you Janet for another good comment - keep ‘em coming!
