Chris and Gemma's Old School House Wedding

Another beautiful day for Gemma and Chris Gill and despite all Gemma's worrying everything was just perfect!

The ceremony was at St John the Baptist Church, Tamworth, with Father Manus Ferry officiating. We love filming there because ceremonies are so relaxed and we get a tremendous overhead shot from the choir gallery. Ushers Darren, Stephen and Evan arrived promptly with Chris and Best Man Darren not far behind - all looking smart in brown suits with ivory waistcoats and sage green cravats.
The beautiful Daimler bridal cars by Affairs of the Heart arrived together with bridesmaids Samantha, Hannah and Angelina with Gemma’s mother Angela Followell in one car and Gemma with her father following, so Jon and I filmed together. Samantha wore sage green with the two younger bridesmaids in white dresses with green sashes - all pretty and elegant.
The ceremony was very emotional with Gemma admitting to a lip-quivering moment when she saw Chris waiting at the altar and Chris nearly followed suit when he saw how stunning Gemma looked in her gorgeous ivory and jewel encrusted gown and veil!
A short photo call then on to the Old School House at Weeford, where the newly appointed marquee looked tremendous. Guests enjoyed drinks overlooking the brook and rolling countryside, before a lavish wedding breakfast. (Our thanks to Chris Poyser for his excellent organisation and help.)
The speeches went down really well. Darren had been quite nervous but he had the guests laughing from start to finish and Chris and his new father-in-law Nick were both relaxed and so genuine.
Jon filmed loads of guest messages with some enjoying themselves so much they came back for more! Looking forward to seeing Gemma and Chris’s romantic sunset walk scene too.
Evening entertainment was really lively, with Blaze Disco and The Electric Band getting everyone dancing, with a hog roast to follow ... what a perfect day!

Well, what can I say?!? What an amazing day we had. We honestly could not have asked for it to go any better! The weather was amazing and everyone looked to be having a great time. We didn’t want the day to end and although we were tired by the end of the day, we could have gone on forever!
Thank you for everyone who came and for making our day so special. Also a big thank you to both Karrie and John at Electra for being so organised and also helping to make the day run so smoothly, I can’t begin to compliment them enough!
We also had an amazing honeymoon! We will have these memories for a lifetime now… just a shame it had to end!
