Sara and Peter Horton's Moat House Acton Trussell wedding
posted by: Karrie on 6 October 2008
Sarah had been planning this wedding and worrying about every detail for months, but it certainly paid off yesterday, when even the weather was under control ...

The beautiful Moat House, Acton Trussell
We began filming as Peter and Best Man Simon arrived - with a great interview that left us laughing! Then I joined Sara and bridesmaids Victoria, Jane and Beth as they all got ready. I have truthfully never filmed such relaxed ladies - so chilled, and ready to go at least half an hour before the ceremony!
Meanwhile Jon filmed arrivals until Samantha the wedding co-ordinator came to fetch the bride. Both Peter and Sara were much more relaxed once they had said their vows, and we were lucky to have a film and photo shoot outside in the sunshine - for the second day running with Les and Steve of Barry James Photography (always easy to work with, so thanks again to you both).
We always enjoy filming at The Moat House, which has so many beautiful film and photo locations, with 2 lakes, the canal side and lovely gardens. (You can see a fun Summer Moat House wedding video here and another Winter wedding video at The Moat House here.)
Guests enjoyed music from Finesse, with piano, cello and singer Ruth Shepherd performing during the ceremony, reception and wedding breakfast, and Sara’s attention to detail provided guests with a beautiful reception with subtle pink detailing in the décor, bridesmaids dresses and accessories for the smartly dressed Groom - not forgetting Best Man Simon, ushers Alex and Joshua and ring bearer Joshua of course!
Sara chose her own and her bridesmaids’ gowns from Kiss xx of Lichfield and they all looked gorgeous, although understandably a radiant Sara outshone everyone!
Fresh air seemed to give everyone a healthy appetite so as soon as the ceremony room had been transformed ready for the wedding breakfast it was time for the speeches and the speakers could relax and enjoy their excellent meal!
Congratulations Mr and Mrs Horton and we hope you have a great honeymoon. Please leave Sara and Peter a message using the contact form below (or email me to do it for you if you prefer), and we’ll drop you an email when their wedding video arrives in our movie theatre.

We don’t know about you two but we spent from 5.00am on your wedding day looking at the torrential rain, down on both knees praying for a miracle! On the drive over to the Moat House slightly clearer skies could be seen and we hoped against hope that our prayers would be answered.
We know that the ceremony started a little late but the meal was served on time which is full credit to everyone involved, the Moat House (don’t they turn a room around quickly!!!), Electra (who were incidentally superb to work with yet again) your guests and ourselves.
Throughout the whole of the proceedings, probably gone unnoticed other than for the superb music they produced were the excellent Finesse - without question the best musical accompaniment to any event.
We look forward to seeing you soon to plan your album.
