Sarah and Nicholas' wedding at Hadley Park House
posted by: Karrie on 20 October 2008
Another new venue for us with a very late booking but what a super day we had filming this lovely couple's wedding ...

Lovely couple ... beautiful Autumn wedding
Sarah and Nick took advantage of our late availability discount and booked us on Monday for their Saturday wedding at Hadley Park House near Telford. We arrived early so we could check out the eighteenth century manor house and what a great venue they’d chosen - ideal for an intimate wedding. Staff were really helpful, the conservatory where the ceremony and reception was held is lovely and the gardens lend themselves to film and photos.
First Jon filmed Nick and Best Man James getting ready (you looked cool guys, in case I forgot to say it!) followed by a fun interview. Then while Jon filmed arrivals and scenery shots I filmed Sarah and chief bridesmaid Sandra’s preparations, with star bridesmaids Scarlet and Ruby. Scarlet provided regular time checks and they both ran last minute errands too - every wedding should have a Scarlet and Ruby!
Sarah was a bit late in getting ready but when we filmed their Reflections later Nicholas said that she was worth waiting for, and she really did look classically beautiful and elegant in her stunning gown by Kiss xx of Lichfield.
A moving ceremony followed, with a lovely reading by Marjorie Hosten and photo shoot with the ever-relaxed David Wadley. Always easy to work with, so thanks Dave, and of course he had helpful groomsman Dennis helping out gathering groups together!
The colour theme of dark red suited all three bridesmaids. Sarah and Nick had made all their stationery and wedding details - including a great post box which I loved - and Sarah had even made the cake topper models of her and Nick!
Speeches were before the wedding breakfast again and James certainly looked more relaxed afterwards, although why was he nervous when he spoke so well?! Guests also enjoyed the sincere speeches by Lloyd Hosten, Sarah’s father and Nick with Scarlet and Ruby handing out the gifts and an excellent wedding breakfast followed.
We filmed some great guest messages while the hotel staff and DJ Mr Gee turned the room round in record time, then it was time for the First Dance and disco. The floor was packed with guests having a great time. Scarlet and Ruby had informed us that their duties included ‘dancing till our feet drop off’ and they wouldn’t be alone in that!
Congratulations Mr and Mrs Hosten. We look forward to seeing you both on the editing decks! Please leave them a message using the comments forms below (or email me if it’s easier) and we’ll email you when their wedding video goes into our movie theatre.

Lovely autumn wedding. Great couple - bride looked radiant throughout. I think we all had fun - I certainly did, and the videographers, Electra Films, were good to work with as usual!
