Deborah and Adrian's wedding at The Barns, Cannock

posted by: Karrie on 29 June 2009

We were concerned as we drove away from thunder clouds towards Cannock but we needn't have worried ...

Deborah and Adrian at The Barns Hotel, Cannock

No rain and soaring Summer temperatures as Deborah and Adrian tied the knot on Saturday, although there was an element of drama when the heat and tension almost overcame Deborah and we thought the vows might have to be held over a hospital bed. Luckily she recovered and the head-over-heels couple had the wedding of their dreams.

The stylish raftered ceremony room at The Barns Hotel, Cannock is always a beautiful place for a ceremony and the couple’s emotion showed as they made their vows. Bridesmaids Laura, Zoe, Amy, Jessica, Naomi and Sophie with pageboys Jordan and Kiean all made an impressive procession in their chic outfits. Bridesmaids were dressed in a range of midnight blue gowns with stoles while Deborah wore a beautiful jewel-encrusted beautiful ivory gown by Katie’s Brides that complimented her Titian curled hairstyle. (The guys looked suave too!)

Following drinks and photos outside it was inside for the wedding breakfast - The Barns Hotel specialise in offering even the largest wedding party a menu choice so everyone can enjoy themselves. Balloons by Carabou continued the colour theme in style.

Speeches followed by the Groom, his brother and Best Man Paul, the Bride, her uncle Robert and finally a lovely poem written and read by bridesmaid Zoe.

Guests then adjourned to the courtyard to be joined by evening guests and I managed to film a few fun video messages before a great disco from XL5. We hadn’t worked with them before but we were impressed - good rig with music that soon got guests on their feet, TV screens, confetti cannons and gifts of glowstick bangles and necklaces for the kids (of all ages!) Our thanks to them for all their help.

Deborah and Adrian cut the delicious themed cake by Betty of The Cake Company, which led into their First Dance. Guests soon joined them on the floor before a generous buffet and more dancing - Jon got some good photos of the fun and hopefully my video footage will be cool too! Finally the special feature Jon and I had been waiting for as the Bride & Groom left through an archway of their 120 guests holding blue fibre optic lights - impressive and beautiful too. We drove away with the music still playing but glad to have been a part of capturing memories for Adrian and Deborah to cherish.

The photos are online now - at reduced quality for easy web viewing - by clicking on to the photography services button. Before that though, please join us in congratulating Deborah and Adrian by leaving them a message using the comments form below - and we’ll email you when their wedding video is online in our movie theatre.
