Aimmie and Adrian's wedding at Breadsall Priory

posted by: Karrie on 12 July 2009

Beautiful day, super venue, good food and service and great company - what more could their guests have wanted? (Photos now online)

Adrian with Aimmie - 2 goddesses at Breadsall Priory!

Adrian was convinced that Aimmie would be late for their ceremony at Derby Register Office but I made sure to film Aimmie’s watch to prove just how early she was - ahead of Adrian - and dressed in an elegant slimline gown Aimmie was absolutely radiant and bridesmaids Cara Roberts, Fay Roberts and Jade Barker all looked great too; while Adrian was ‘suited and booted’ in real style! It all went smoothly, although on a personal note I was a bit perturbed to hear from the guy who’d just kindly carried my heavy camera bags to the Register Office that he was en route to the Police Station opposite to check in as ... he’d just been released from prison!

Next it was off to Breadsall Priory for the wedding reception: a beautiful venue and I can’t believe that we’ve never filmed there before! The grounds provided Jon with some fabulous photo opportunities, while I had fun filming both Aimmie and Adrian as well as the children having fun in the amazing gardens. See their Breadsall Priory wedding photos by going to View Photos, then Weddings, then click on Adrian and Aimmie’s names.

The wedding breakfast in The Morley Suite, organised by the excellent Chris Wilks and his team, was everything that Aimmie and Adrian had hoped for, with the fillet steak meeting Adrian’s high standards as a butcher, which is no mean feat! We’d like to thank Chris for all his help and excellent calm organisation of the day - it made our work much easier.

After very short speeches from Adrian and Best Man Steve Barker guests relaxed around the hotel before the evening reception in The Pavillion. The First Dance was the romantic ‘You’re Beautiful’ by James Blunt but then Phil from The Spreadeagle Disco was straight into the Bride’s favourites with ‘Bonkers’ getting everyone into the groove on the dance floor. A lavish buffet with fantastic fruit display followed, and as we left guests looked set for more fun to follow.

We met some lovely people so hope to see you all again at another wedding soon! Please leave the new Mr and Mrs Barker a message using the comments form below (or email us directly) and we’ll email you as soon as their video is online.
