Polesworth Abbey and The Belfry wedding for Katie & Dean

Another beautiful sunshine wedding ...

Jon and I split up with me filming the bridal preparations in Amington and Jon meeting up with Dean, Best Man Jason Whittenham and ushers Mark Hodgins, Mark Weton, Pete Smith and Ray Weston at The Wolferstan Arms in Shuttington. Jon got some cool footage of the guys, so looking forward to seeing that!

I was made welcome by Katie’s mother Sue and sister Steph and while Katie and bridesmaids had fab hair and make-up at wedding specialists Rage in Tamworth I had fun filming Harrison, Katie and Dean’s ‘lightning speed mover’ cute toddler! Loved the hair, make-up and handmade tiaras and when the delicate pink and ivory flowers arrived from Wm Wheat & Sons it was obviusly going to be a beautiful wedding all round. We were working with the lovely Vince and Linda from Taylor Ewins Photography - always a joy, so thanks guys - and I’m sure Vince must have been as impressed as me to see Katie’s wedding gown displayed on a mannequin in all its glory - stunning to see it flowing as Katie floated along.

Soon it was time to leave: beautiful bridesmaids Louise Walford and Claire Ellis in a Daimler DS420, with Katie and her mother in the Austin Berkeley - and me up front filming the journey ... happy days and thanks to Celebration Cars of Sutton Coldfield.

Father Phillip conducted the ceremony at beautiful Polesworth Abbey, with readings by Louise Walford and Mark Hodgins. Quite a few toddlers there and they were all little stars!

Photos and confetti outside before reception at The Belfry, Wishaw. The sun shone while guests enjoyed cupcakes and champagne, accompanied by keyboard player Wayne.  More photos, then time for the sumptuous wedding breakfast under the auspices of the excellent Jill Houghton and her team. Jill appears totally relaxed whilst being totally organised - our thanks to her for her assistance. Speeches by Bride’s mother Sue, the Groom and Best Man Jason were appreciated first by the guests, leaving everyone free to enjoy both the meal and the wonderful views from The Ryder Suite.

We filmed guest messages before the evening reception in The Wishaw Suite with band Room 26 . The cake was cut, the Bride and Groom danced, the evening buffet was served and the dancing commenced ...
