Lea Marston Hotel wedding for Karen and Edward Swift

posted by: Karrie on 2 August 2009

It's always good to meet nice people again but to film them again is even better ...

Relaxed and in love at Lea Marston Hotel

Last time we filmed Karen she was a beautiful bridesmaid but yesterday she was a stunning bride - she really wowed Edward as she walked down the aisle, in the stunning Ella gown from Manor Park Brides that accentuated her tiny waistline.

The vicar at St Peter & St Paul’s Church in Water Orton was certainly not the easiest to work with, which is a shame as the church is beautiful and the ceremony was lovely too. We hated that Edward and Karen had to worry about us being allowed to capture their heartfelt vows to each other, but we’ve done our absolute best so they will have a beautiful record of this important moment, beginning their lives together as husband and wife.

Karen was attended by lovely bridesmaids Claire Wakelam and Liberty Green, while Edward had Best Man and cousin Andrew Swift and ushers Matthew Swift and Richard Hudson - all turned out in style and helping the day run smoothly.

For the second day running the wedding cars were provided by the laid-back team from Elegance Wedding Cars, Sutton Coldfield who had umbrellas as well as champagne to hand! We were also fortunate to be working with Duncan and Ian from Avant - total professionals and great fun too, so thanks for being so easy to work with guys. Duncan was as disappointed as Karen not to be taking photos outside but the rain was really torrential.

On next to Lea Marston Hotel, where Heidi and her staff were as well co-ordinated as ever, and guests were soon enjoying champagne and canapés in the Atrium, followed by confetti and photos in the Octagon and an excellent Wedding Breakfast in the Perry Barton Suite. All the speeches were excellent and totally unique to the wedding - not an Internet joke in sight. Beautiful flowers with favours and wedding stationery by the talented bride too!

We loved working with such a fun couple, who obviously had their priorities in life sorted. We offered to stay on after the speeches as the rain had stopped, and they were up for any of the romantic and fun shots Jon set up by the beautiful bridge in the hotel grounds.

Congratulations Mr and Mrs Swift. Have a great honeymoon. We’ve looked at the digital camera images we took for you after the rain stopped and think you’ll like them but especially looking forward to seeing you on the film editing decks!

Please leave Karen and Edward a message using the comments form below and we’ll email everyone who leaves a message to tell you when their wedding video goes online in our movie theatre.
