Tutbury Castle wedding for Lucy and Ben Waldron
posted by: Karrie on 9 August 2009
Fun priest, fab friends and family plus fantastic weather for a very happy couple ...

Romance at Tutbury Castle
Ben’s mother Irena originally booked us for this wedding and Ben really wasn’t keen but when he came over to the studio and saw our work he changed his mind, so we really wanted to do our best filming their wedding video to deserve his trust and the beautiful weather was a good start.
>Arriving at St Mary and St Modwen Church in Burton-on-Trent, the beautiful church interior with old wall frescoes reputedly painted by a fairground painter provided great background shots. The choir welcomed me up in the high organ balcony - thank you - and Father Brian gave Jon a great position too.
Ben was quite nervous - especially after his ‘bruising’ from the previous night, but his main concern was because he wanted everything to be perfect for Lucy. It was. Ushers Jason Woolicroft, David Viles, Owen Jones, Tom Waldron and Stephen Tiney worked well and everyone was seated when Lucy, dressed in a stunning gown with full length veil arrived. Bridesmaids Donna Read, Eleanor Johnson and Hannah Farr looked chic and cool in mint and green but Lucy truly shone!
After the lovely ceremony with excellent sermon, lovely readings by Owen Jones and Bernadette Roobotton and majestic organ playing and singing from the Parish choir there was a hasty departure in a fabulous black and champagne Silver Dawn Rolls Royce by Rolls Royce Wedding Cars & Chauffeur Service of Rolleston-on-Dove to romantic Tutbury Castle.
Andy and Joy of Avant were the photographers, and they always work speedily - our thanks for their co-operation too - and guests were soon enjoying Pimms in the sunshine before a fabulous wedding breakfast provided by Thrales inside the marquee.
The sun beat down and Ben decided that some chill out time in the stunning Castle grounds was required before the speeches. Guests were queuing up to leave Ben and Lucy video goodwill messages before we all went back inside for the speeches. Well worth waiting for, the speeches by Lucy’s father Michael Jones, Ben and then his 2 Best Men David Read and Michael Henshaw really brought the house down! Guests were wiping away tears of laughter at Michael and David’s double act, while top man usher David Viles organised everything so well. A special thanks to Dave from us!
More drinks and messages outside and it was time for the casino by Lucky 17 and the First Dance, the aptly titled ‘Afternoon Delight’. The wedding cake was cut, the dancing began and the hog roast was served ... a good night for all their guests for sure!
We met some lovely people and filmed a great couple who we feel sure will have many fantastic years ahead, so our congratulations to them. Hope you enjoy your honeymoon and look forward to seeing you in your wedding DVD (define)!
Please leave them a message using the form below and then we will email you when their video is in our website movie theatre.
