Packington Moor Farm wedding for Lorraine and Stephen Collins

More sunshine at Lorraine and Stephen's superb country wedding ...

Together in the Oat Barn at Packington Moor

I love a farm wedding so this was a double bonus - first filming bridal preparations at Oakfields Farm, Admaston and later a reception at Packington Moor Farm, Lichfield.

When I arrived to film Lorraine her mother Gill Hampson was offering food and drinks to anyone who walked in the door. Gill has a reputation for being a ‘little’ late but I’d guess it’s often because she is so hospitable! Neil of Picturebox was already drinking tea, while taking photos - great atmosphere with bridesmaids, family and friends.

I filmed the 7 beautiful bridesmaids: Katy Cunnion, Tracy Spasic, Rebecca Mozley, Kelly Burgess, Felicity Burgess and Amy Collins in their hot pink and white dresses before Darren from wonderful Platinum Cars drove them to Blithfield Church. Jon, was filming Stephen, Best Man Andrew Sharp, guests and ushers Matthew and Daniel Jackson with Paul, Mark and Chris Collins. Working on the Female Hampson clock (!) I had time to enjoy Roger Titley and the choir’s music before Lorraine arrived with her father.

It was a lovely ceremony but to be honest when vicars only give us one good camera angle it is stressful as we want to give our best. Hopefully it will be fine, but we’ll miss those close-up moments when the rings and vows are exchanged that always mean so much. Readings by Tracy Spasic and Kimberley Burgess and a wonderful solo by Lorraine’s sister Kelly brought tears to many eyes.

Photos and confetti then Jon and Neil filmed the Bride & Groom while I raced ahead to film the bridal car arriving. Guests enjoyed music by Enigma String Quartet while drinking Pimms on the lawn, with so many games arranged for them to play - great to film too!

We love filming at Packington Moor - beautiful location, convenient facilities and excellent food. Rosemarie and her team certainly lived up to their reputation and guests enjoyed the generous wedding breakfast.  Chris Ryder of Wittypics drew stunning caricatures of the guests while I filmed video guest messages. Evening guests arrived and the entertainment continued. Russell and Katy of It Takez 2 - fresh from their success at X Factor Boot Camp - sang for the First Dance, then Kelly sang the next track before they continued. The Hog Roast was served and as I left guests were enjoying the buffet, dancing, drinking, playing cricket, Jenga, OXO, Connect 4 and ... generally having a terrific time!

Congratulations to the new Mr and Mrs Collins. We enjoyed your wedding so we’re sure your guests did - and hopefully you’ll have a great honeymoon before returning to read your guests’ messages here.
