Louise and Tom's Chase Hotel, Ross-on-Wye wedding

A great day filming some very friendly, fun people and a lovely wedding day ...

Louise and Tom McKenzie at St Peter's Church, Clearwell
We filmed Louise’s brother’s wedding at Clearwell Castle, so it was great to see some familiar faces ‘in real life’! This time I filmed with Chris. We arrived early at St Peter’s Church, Clearwell so I walked down to the Wyndham Arms where Best Man Gordy (single and available apparently) was expecting Tom at 12 ... I left at 12.30 with Tom still not there. He did arrive at the church at 12.40, then after a few photos with photographer Steve Cassidy - very easy to work with, so thank you Steve - Tom left for the pub!
With the ceremony at 1pm, luckily Tom soon returned and obviously Louise knows her husband well because she was 15 minutes late for the ceremony conducted by Rev Canon David Lawrence in the small but beautiful church, with readings by Lauren and Paul McKenzie (Tom’s other Best Man).
The bridal party were all elegantly attired with Louise’s colour theme of claret and ivory showing all to advantage: best men Gordon and Paul, page boys Alex McKenzie and Ross McKenzie together with ushers Danny McKenzie, Martin, Julian, Chris, Jamie, Shaun and Mark Addis and bridesmaids Joni Bell, Melissa Addis (another Electra bride!), Lauren McKenzie, Kirstie Addis, Jade McKenzie and Shanice Hamm all looked fabulous. Then there was Tom, looking extremely dapper as a foil for his beautiful bride Louise in her stunning Mori Lee gown.
We followed the bride & groom in their ivory and burgundy 1947 Alvis Drophead Coupe by Nostalgia Wedding Cars of Gloucester (our thanks for their help) for a scenic photo shoot, then on to The Chase Hotel, Ross-on-Wye to film them arriving. It was our first time filming at The Chase and we loved the beautiful scented gardens outside the Georgian building and the very helpful staff - another thank you to the hotel too!
After drinks and more photos it was time for the wedding breakfast, followed by very amusing speeches by Tom, Paul and Gordy. We filmed video guest messages - how keen were they to leave messages? (Chris thinks some would go viral on YouTube!) Then it was time for cutting the most
stunning chocolate wedding cake by Cakes for All UK before we left. The DJ was ready to roll and we feel sure the guests were ready to rock the night away. With tables all named after Elvis songs I’m guessing that the King would be in the building!
Our congratulations to the new Mr and Mrs McKenzie. We’re looking forward to seeing all the fun again on the editing decks and it would be great if you’d like to leave them a goodwill message using the comments form below. If you do then we’ll email you when their The Chase Hotel wedding video highlights is online in our movie theatre.
UPDATE - wedding video highlights now online in our movie theatre. Watch with Windows Media Player here or with Flash Player here. Hope you like it!Comments
