Menesa and Kevin's West Bromwich wedding

When Kevin and Menesa booked us for wedding photos and video just weeks after their baby was due we really wondered if it could be done ...

Kevin and Menesa Campbell's wedding
Kevin and Menesa almost feel like part of the Electra Films family as we have all waited for baby Tony’s birth with anticipation and now filmed their wedding day with their family and friends, so Saturday was a day I was looking forward to filming!
I’d attended the wedding rehearsal so when Rev Dagago Hart opened the doors of St James Episcopal Church, Hill Top we were ready to film - except that I just had to look at the beautifully decorated church in reds and golds with red carpet for Menesa to walk down the aisle! The guys were all smartly attired, with groom Kevin, Best Man David Henry, groomsmen Darrin Rush and Daniel McKintosh and usher Trevor Hodge and other family members in ivory suits with gold and red accessories and bridesmaids Tricia Buchanan, Sharnett Walker and Connie Henry were chic in a beautiful deep red, along with usher Denise Weekes and pretty flower girl Alyssa Gooden.
Jon took photos while I filmed the guys, then Menesa arrived in the luxury limousine from the very helpful Kingsley Chauffeurs. Menesa’s father Rev Fr Menes Hodge must have been so proud to walk his beautiful daughter down the aisle and under the floral arch in her magnificent red and ivory gown. It was a real family ceremony with Menesa’s brother Trevor Hodge playing the organ and Rev Fr Hodge reading the New Testament reading, with Gillian Powell reading the Old Testament reading.
After a beautiful bridal entourage exit through the floral and bubbles arch on the red carpet, a few photos at the church then on to Handsworth Park for more photos by the water and brightly hued flower beds, where Menesa had arranged a surprise dove release for Kevin by The Dove Emporium with a poem read by Mrs Paula Henry. Baby Tony was admired by all as photos were taken before we all left for The Plaza Suite at The Premier Inn, West Bromwich.
Once again Menesa had designed beautiful décor, crowned by a stunning fairytale castle cake complete with running waterfall and lighting. The wedding breakfast commenced with the bridal entourage’s entry and the lighting of a candle in memory of Menesa’s mother. Toasts and open speeches followed the meal, then cutting the cake and straight into the First Dance on the candle lit dance floor. I filmed video guest messages and evening entertainment while Jon did guest portraits and we left with guests enjoying their evening.
We hope you will leave a goodwill message here using the form below for the new Mr and Mrs Campbell and their son Tony. If you leave a message we will be delighted to email you when their wedding video is online in our website movie theatre!
PS Here’s a link to Menesa and Kevin’s wedding photos, in case you haven’t seen them online yet - enjoy!
