Hyde Park wedding for Anthea and Alex

They were literally dancing in the aisles at this fabulous wedding ...

Anthea and Alex at St John's Church, Hyde Park

Chris and Gemma had a terrific time filming Anthea and Alex’ wedding at St John’s Church, Hyde Park, London. Nearly 400 guests - all arrayed in stunning outfits enjoyed the lovely ceremony conducted by Rev Margaret Legg and accompanied by the wonderful Gospel choir and band. Anthea danced her way up the aisle with her father to marry Alex and the couple were both radiant as they walked back down the aisle together. Drinks and canapés were served at the church with a massive group photo outside before a lavish wedding breakfast and reception at Porchester Hall, Bayswater.

Anthea’s attention to detail was apparent in the beautifully decorated reception and once again there was joyful dancing as the bridal party were announced. The food served was magnificent, with two different cuisines both served to perfection and the tables were almost groaning under the bounty of both the Nigerian and Jamaican food and drink provided for the Bride’s and Groom’s guests.

Speeches were vibrant, funny, warm and emotional, with many saying that the highlight amongst so many excellent speeches was that made by Alex’ son.

We feel sure that Alex and Anthea will enjoy their video messages - so many guests were eager to leave a personal tribute for the newlyweds. The warmly received First Dance was followed by a surprise gift of a singer, who entertained all, and then later the Bride and Groom changed before a dollar shower dance.
