Paul and Laura's Moor Hall wedding

No rain but a little cold outside for this stunning bride ...

Reflections on their day

Paul and Laura’s wedding day at beautiful venue Moor Hall Hotel, Sutton Coldfield was a lovely day for family and friends. Understated elegance was the order of the day, starting with all the guests wearing black and white as the wedding colour theme - very chic!

Paul, Best Man and brother Cliff with ushers Pete, Steven, Richard and Chris arrived in plenty of time to allow for a quick drink in the bar and there was a lot of good-natured banter between them. Paul and Cliff wore smart ivoru suits with the rest in black and it made a real style statement.

Young bridesmaids Elisha, Abby, Ellie and Eva were really excited and looking pretty in cute white dresses with alice bands sporting butterflies, ably looked after by Sammy Perry the grown-up (never old!) bridesmaid.

Soon it was time for Laura to arrive with her mother Heather and the ceremony began. Laura had been teasing Paul about what her gown was like so he really did not expect the total vision that Laura was walking down the aisle! An emotional and often amusing ceremony proceeded before drinks and a few photos outside. Although the weather kept fine it was a little cold but Laura was an absolute star - we hope they like the resulting photos.

A superb hot fork buffet wedding breakfast followed amidst the beautifully decorated tables, followed by amusing speeches from Paul and brother Cliff - a real double act!

Cutting of the magnificent cake, excellent cabaret entertainment by Ben as George Fornby, First Dance and dancing was soon under way with the floor packed. I think I was the only one there with regrets ... it was such a great wedding that I would have loved to film it! Hopefully the atmosphere will have been captured in the photographs Jon took.
