Meynell Ingrams wedding reception for Nicola and Ryan

posted by: Karrie on 7 August 2010

Isn't it great to have a job filming people on the happiest day of their lives? ...

A quiet moment at Hoar Cross Hall

Yesterday was supposed to be rainy but thankfully the weather people got it wrong! It was a beautiful day for Nicola Cunniff and Ryan Bingham and they truly had the time of their lives.

I began filming the bridal preps at Nicola’s parents’ home in Branston - how nice are they? Taking time to offer both lovely photographer Claire Evans and myself lunch! Nicola breezed in from the hairdressers in a fun pink leisure suit, laughing about looking like Jordan and to be honest she made my job s-ooo difficult. How do you keep a camera still when the bride keeps making you laugh?!

Nicola looked gorgeous in her fab ivory and lace gown. Bridesmaids Emma, Alison and Lucy were chic in merlot gowns, with Mimina (can’t believe how much she’d grown since last time I filmed her as a bridesmaid!) was pretty in ivory with Merlot coloured butterflies.

Michael, Nicola’s Dad had been entertaining me with fun stories about the wedding preparations before Nicola arrived but he nearly lost it with emotion when he saw Nicola.

Time to meet Mike filming arrivals at hurch. Ryan was looking dashing and had chosen Best Man Dan and ushers Guy and Andy well - what super guys!

The ceremony was all they could have wished for (except for the vicar not allowing front camera so we were much more obtrusive with 2 back cameras!) Nicola loved seeing and hearing the school children singing in the choir. A few group photos and confetti, then with butterflies flying round them (and butterflies was part of their theme!) Nicola and Ryan left in their horse driven carriage for wedding photos and Mike filmed the wedding video shoot at Hoar Cross Hall while their guests went on to the reception at The Meynell Ingrams at Hoar Cross.

Guests enjoyed champagne with strawberries dipped in cream accompanied by music from excellent string quartet Bella Musica before a lovely tea party: bunting, country pink flowers, hanging bird cages adorned with butterflies, jugs of Pimms and each table with a different vintage teaset. Apparently Prince Charles loves the egg sandwiches served at The Meynell Ingrams so Nicola though her guests would too ...

Speeches were fun and guests left great video messages before dancing to music by Pelo. Guests were dancing to the soundcheck and after Ryan and Nicola’s First Dance they were straight into the groove before the evening buffet!

Congratulations from us all at Electra Films to the new Mr and Mrs Bingham. Please leave your goodwill message to them using the comments form below and we’ll email everyone who leaves a message when their Meynell Ingrams wedding video goes online in our movie theatre.

Mr and Mrs. Bingham!!  I had the best day, and even better night - ‘til 5am if i recall!  We need to do some more piano practice though Nic, if we are going to play at Hoar Cross again?!?  A truly magical wedding and a very special day.  The reception was, without any doubt, the best I have ever attended!  Many, many congratulations and all the very best wishes for a very long and happy life together!  Love Owen, Max and Toby

Thanks for a wonderful day from start to finish (whatever time that was!). Nicola, you looked so stunning when you arrived at the church. The children sang so beautifully and I’m sure they will all remember when ‘Miss Cunniff’ got married. The reception was brilliant and the afternoon tea went down extremely well. Can’t wait to see the photos. With love and our very best wishes for your future together.
