“Even better than we imagined it would be” was how Helen and Paul described their wedding day!

Guest blog post today from Debbie who with Mark were the electra photographers at the wedding so enjoy ...
’The heavens may have opened before and after but only blue skies and sunshine were around when Helen and Paul were wed at Lichfield Registry office.
After taking a wrong turn into Beacon Park, Best Man John found his way into Lichfield Registry Office car park with a calm Groom Paul by his side. Stating that she hadnt seen him all morning and was missing him, the Bride arrived unusually early and sat in the car for a while till it was time for her to arrive officially. Usher Ben had the very important job of looking after the rings and did an excellent job of handing them over to a now slightly nervous Groom. All was smiles however when he caught sight of the gorgeous Bride, as Helen looked truly beautiful in a white strapless gown with diamanté to the bodice and swathes of white silk to the skirt. Accompanied by bridesmaid Kelly in champagne satin and little Kimberley in a lovely white dress and white fur stole – the ladies made a lovely escort to the Bride.
The Bride was given away by her daughter Gemma on behalf of the Bride’s Father John who was unfortunately unable to attend, and a lovely reading was given by the Groom’s Father John. Two weeks earlier, Paul’s Mum Irene, had broken her arm but on this day nothing was going to stop her from taking up her role of witness and when the time came was able to sign her name at the official signing of the register.
Uncle Barry wanted to be sure that the Bride and Groom knew he was around so showered the happy couple in confetti before anyone else could!
Between Lichfield Registry Office and the reception venue of Stone House Hotel, the heavens opened yet again and then stopped when the couple and their guests arrived. Mary was slightly late after taking a detour to Shugborough but didn’t miss a thing except for Best Man John doing star jumps for a fun shot with the Groom and Usher! The lovely wedding breakfast room was set off beautifully by the view over the greenery of the gardens and the wedding cake was far too nice to eat!’ - Debbie
