Clifton Campville Horse Show

A different day for us but Jon and I decided to support our neighbouring village's event ...

Fun for all ages!

Luckily the weather man got it wrong and the rain kept away with only a strong breeze making an appearance at Clifton Campville Horse Show.

This was a well organised horse show and super family day out on the lovely Clifton Campville Millennium Green, and it was disappointing that it wasn’t as well supported as in previous years; but with it being FA Cup Final Day perhaps there were a few dads and partners who didn’t want to miss the match? Sure it will be back to normal high figures next year though, so don’t miss the fun next year.

There were a wide range of events organised including (new for 2011) dressage events and a range of events for all ages with fun activities for young children and even a hobby horse event and an obstacle race where a horse wasn’t required.

With superbly barbequed hot dogs and bacon baps available all day too the organisers had really thought of everything. Our thanks to the committee members who made us feel welcome - as first timers at this type of event there are always going to be things we’d like to do better another time but all-in-all we we enjoyed ourselves and received some great compliments on the photos Jon took. A special thanks to Eve and John Bainbridge for all their help.

PS Their next event will be The Country Fair on 11th June - loads for all the family to see and do!
