Fairlawns wedding for Ann-Marie and Stuart

Rain threatened but weather remained fair on the green lawns at ... Fairlawns - sorry couldn't resist!

Rei recently did the engagement shoot for Stuart and Ann-Marie at Fairlawns (you can see the photos here if you go to View Photos, then Portraits and choose their album). We think it definitely makes for more relaxing wedding day photos and Stuart and Ann-Marie agreed.

Jon and I arrived at Fairlawns for bridal prep photos - our little surprise for Ann-Marie - and the ladies were so chilled as they did hair and make-up it was really enjoyable to work with them. Lars was enjoying himself playing with the stunning lighting in the bridal suite and with his lovely Harry Potter style watch ... which I quite fancied myself! (You’ll see in the photos)

Next on to St Peter’s Church at Little Aston, which is a stunning little church with an incredibly welcoming congregation and helpers. We love it! Stuart arrived in a terrific wedding car and there were some fun photos taken with it, especially one sexy pose by one of the 2 (chic in silver) bridesmaids LOL. Helen and Jonelle arrived with pretty flower girls Macy and Ffion in a beautiful limousine provided by the ever helpful Celebration Wedding Cars. Next the bride arrived in the limousine’s 2nd journey, looking totally amazing and the lovely ceremony commenced. Jon was at the back of the church while I was at the front with the choir, hopefully not sounding too tone deaf as I sang along because there are some super voices in that choir ... no pressure!

Jon then took the few large group photos before confetti and departures for Fairlawns Hotel Aldridge. It was a lovely reception with Enigma string quartet playing at both church and Fairlawns.

It’s always a pleasure to work at Fairlawns with it’s beautifully landscaped gardens and well-planned interiors but have to say a huge thank you to Chris who was their wedding co-ordinator for the day - what a totally chilled but efficient guy! Thanks also to ushers Kristian and Craig and Best Man Andrew who were all so friendly and helpful, as were the bridesmaids. Lovely people all round IMHO.
