Moxhull Hall wedding of Helen and Steven

The sun shone down as Helen and Steve's dream wedding took place ...

Chris and I were here at Moxhull Hall a few weeks back to film a wedding with a Marryoke, when the rain poured down but today was glorious and Helen and Steven had their dream wedding outside in the superb sunken garden.

Chris was senior wedding videographer today with Tom as his assistant film crew, and they began with bridal preparations at Helen’s uncle and aunt’s home in nearby Sutton Coldfield, which was a friendly gathering. Photographer for the day was Bride’s cousin Matthew Stanton and as he obviously knew everyone so well it was even more relaxed than usual during the photoshoot. Our thanks to Matt for all his help - Chris said how easy it was to work with you.

On to Moxhull Hall where the ever-helpful and friendly Tony was the co-ordinator of the day. Steven was attended by his best friend Andrew Roden as Best Man, with Chris Brown and George Wheeler as ushers and Alex Robinson and Edward Walton - great guys to have around and they all looked pretty darn smart too!

Helen, who Chris reported looked amazing (his favourite top adjective!) was assisted in style by the lovely Maid of Honour Danielle Skidmore, bridesmaids Claire Hancox, Rachel Dale and Sarah Noak, Flower Girls Molly Baker and Maisie Robinson and Page Boys Alex Robinson and Edward Walton. Well done to everyone!

Lovely ceremony outside in the sunken garden with the sun shining down. Their friend Carla Yateshad flown in specially from Turkey for the wedding singing with the voice of an angel as soloist and there were beautiful readings too by Claire Hancox and Chris Brown.

Our friend, the lovely Barry Balmayne was Toastmaster for the day - we always enjoy working with Barry as everything flows like clockwork but in a very relaxed way if that makes sense?

The photo shoot took advantage of the stunning surroundings, before a typically sumptuous wedding breakfast in the marquée, followed by speeches enjoyed by all from Father of the Bride Michael Banks, Steven the Groom, Maid of Honour Danielle Skidmore (my personal admiration as I could never do that!) and Best Man Andrew.

We then filmed guest messages before the dancing commenced - over 180 guests so you knew it was going to be fun - and after the cutting of the beautiful wedding cake came the First Dance, again sung by Carla and Helen and Steven surprised their guests with a choreographed routine - wow! The dancing then got under way and when the crew left Chris said that it looked as if the floor was going to be packed all night!

Congratulations from us all at Electra Films to the new Mr and Mrs Baker. Please leave Helen and Steven a message using the comments form below and check back in approx 8 weeks so we can point you towards their online wedding video highlights for their Moxhull Hall wedding film.
