Fairlawns Hotel International wedding for Julie and Greg Achiampong

We were back again today at Fairlawns Hotel for a lovely wedding ...

Mr & Mrs Achiampong married at Four Oaks Methodist Church

We could see that Greg and Julie are a couple totally meant for each other from the first time we met - I felt an instant rapport with them as their happiness together shone out, so we were delighted when they decided to book Electra Films ... would have liked to film as well as photograph the wedding though LOL!

Our photographer arrived at charming Four Oaks Methodist Church early to photograph the beautiful flowers by Herbarium of Aldridge before the the Groom arrived with Best Men Mike Achiampong and Jackson Hunt and usher Peter Achiampong. Lovely photos of the guys!

Pretty Maid of Honour Lindy Singleton with bridesmaids Claire Harrison, Katherine Duerden and Layla Tutt arrived for photos next before Julie - looking totally amazing as you can see in the blog photo - arrived in the beautiful 1955 vintage cream Rolls Royce Silver Cloud, by Blushing Bride wedding Cars of Sutton Coldfield, with her mother Kathy Barber giving her away.

Their vows in church were obviously important to this couple and it was lovely to see both of Julie’s parents involved with Julie’s father Rev Steve Singleton actually marrying his own daughter. Readings by Jackie and Josephine Achiampong added to the beauty of the ceremony.

Photos outside before leaving together in style in the Rolls Royce and on to Fairlawns Hotel and Spa, Aldridge. We genuinely love this venue - super staff, great photo opportunities in the landscaped gardens, good food - what more could anyone ask for?

After a relaxed photo session while guests enjoyed refreshments we finished ahead of time so there was time for Julie and Greg to relax with their guests before the delicious Wedding Breakfast.

Excellent speeches followed by Father of the Bride, the Groom and his two Best Men. Guests were welcomed from Ghana, Dubai and Indonesia in addition to their friends and family from closer to home. Apparently there was nothing incriminating to say about Greg but there were a few ‘Gregisms’ mentioned. Julie was presented with balls of wool in Greg’s 2 favourite colours but we’re guessing that if Greg asks ‘What’s the plan?’ on honeymoon then he won’t be expecting Julie to start knitting a scarf!

Evening guests arrived to see the cake cutting and First Dance and Rei and Nic reported that a fun evening was well under way when they left.
