Lovely wedding at Stretton near Burton-on-Trent ...

The new Mr and Mrs Jones at Dovecliff Hall Hotel

Mike was filming at the wedding of Beth Perkins to Gavin Jones on Saturday 3rd September and he reported back that it was a lovely day with a beautiful bride and nice people.

We don’t film many one camera weddings but Beth and Gavin had requested a one camera package so Mike began filming arrivals at Moira Wesley and Reform Church. Gavin arrived in plenty of time accompanied by his Best Man and friend Paul Cribb and ushers Greg Perkins, Charlie Blod, Craig Tyers, all looking very dapper indeed!

Guests arrived in fine form and were welcomed to the church by Rev Paul Busby who conducted a relaxed and friendly ceremony.

Everyone agreed how beautiful Beth looked in her stunning gown accompanied by bridesmaids Nicola Meakin, Katharine Kendrick, Emma Copson and Laura Jones all looking chic in apple slice colour gowns with white sashes; not forgetting pretty flower girl Rose Perkins and the two star page boys Harry and Henry Jones – the couple’s sons who provided lots of lovely film footage!

Our good friend Frank from A Class Photography was the photographer - so much easier to work with someone who appreciates that we all want to do our best for the couple so thank you Frank!

After more photos at Dovecliff Hall Hotel a delicious wedding breakfast followed. Speeches were succinct and well-received by all, with Rugby Club exploits strongly featured, while the Bride and Groom showed their appreciation to everyone who’d helped with the wedding giving out masses of gifts.
