This new wedding trend is sweeping the USA and now Electra are introducing the art form to brides in the UK.

Karrie Hidderley, Electra business partner explains that the Trash the Dress title can be off-putting but that most brides see it as an opportunity for a glamorous modelling-type film and photo shoot, with the opportunity to be filmed in their wedding gowns in unusual and artistic locations.

‘It’s an expression of love for their husbands, being able to present them with a beautiful film and photos, taken without worrying about their wedding dress and time constraints - and of course without all their guests watching!

We find that brides usually have their dress cleaned after the shoot, but of course their are some brides who don’t want to keep their gowns and who choose to go all the way!’
