Electra Films was established in Yorkshire in 1989, but since Karrie joined Jon they now also have a Midlands studio (surrounded by Tamworth, Lichfield, Burton-on-Trent, Derby, Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Swadlincote, Cannock and Stafford as a very rough guide!) but they film wedding videos nationwide all over the UK, thanks often to client referrals, and are now available for international overseas destination weddings.  They are known for their commitment to their clients, the quality of their films and innovative approach to film making.

Jon graduated from Sheffield University with a First Class BSc Hons degree in metallurgy and has since been awarded a Masters Degree.  He worked for many years in the engineering and aerospace world, which has given him a strong commitment to technological advancement and technical perfection in both picture and sound quality! He also gained his Master of Videography Certificate from the Institute of Videography in 1990.

Karrie graduated from Loughborough University with a BA in English and Drama and worked for several years as a drama teacher and lecturer, before realising that wedding videography gave her more opportunity for her creativity.  She is a Founder Member of the international videography 4Ever Group and loves filming weddings and helping to capture each couple’s special day on film. She has a total commitment to ensuring that wedding films become a necessity for every Bride and Groom, and has created a network of Midlands videographers to help couples looking for a wedding video … helping couples who leave it too late to book a wedding videographer.

Jon and Karrie’s combined approach to wedding films is valued by their clients for their attention to detail and the encouragement they give to clients to add their input into the design of their own wedding film.  They are passionate about ongoing education and development of their skills, equipment and editing techniques.
