Electra Films began in Yorkshire, but now also have Midlands studios (surrounded by Tamworth, Lichfield, Burton-on-Trent, Derby, Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Swadlincote, Cannock and Stafford as a very rough guide!) Electra provide wedding videos and photography nationwide all over the UK - often from client referrals. (Also available for international overseas destination weddings.) Known for their commitment to their clients, the quality of their films and innovative approach to film making and photography.

Jon graduated from Sheffield University with a First Class BSc Hons degree in metallurgy and has since been awarded a Masters Degree.  Originally working in the engineering and aerospace world, this developed his strong commitment to technological advancement and technical perfection in both picture and sound quality! (Known affectionately by us all as ‘Techno-Geek’!) He also gained his Master of Videography Certificate from the Institute of Videography in 1990 and has been a published photographer for several years!

Karrie graduated from Loughborough University with a BA in English and Drama and worked as a drama teacher and lecturer, but now wedding videography provides more opportunity for her creativity.  She was a Founder Member of the international videography 4Ever Group, is a Video Business Advisor and loves capturing each couple’s special day on film. She has a total commitment to ensuring that wedding films become a necessity for every Bride and Groom, and has created a network of Midlands videographers to help couples looking for a quality wedding video. (LOVES weddings!)

Chris is a talented film maker with many awards to his credit and an Honours Degree in Film & Media. Creative, dedicated to perfection and a genuinely nice guy to work with, his aim is for every wedding video to be ‘AMAZING!’ Gemma is his current 2nd camera operator - another lovely lady and easy to have around you on your day.

Rei has a First Class Honours Degree in Photography and a real eye for beautiful photos. She trained initially in makeover photography, so she really knows how to ensure that ladies (and grooms too of course) always look their best. Add in her skill in Photoshop and album composition and you can see why we’re glad to have her on board. She never tires of showing her wares ... ‘luscious’ and ‘bea-u-u-utiful’ albums!

Mike can always be trusted to get good overhead shots - his 6ft+ height helps - and he is always calm and quick-thinking. An all-round expert in filming, editing and audio, we know you’re in safe hands with Mike and Janet, his highly competent 2nd camera operator.

Electra Films’ approach to wedding films and photography is valued by their clients for their attention to detail and the encouragement they give to clients to add their input into the design of their own wedding film and albums.  They are passionate about ongoing education and development of their skills, equipment and editing techniques.
